Heineken Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2017 kicked off on Wednesday, October 25, with various collections presented by Talented and energetic designers like Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Ugo Monye, Style Temple, and others. The third day of the fashion show witnessed vibrant collections from AboutThatCurvyLife, Tiffany Amber, Mai Atafo, Lisa Folawiyo, Orange Culture and others.
Themed ‘Africa: Shaping Fashion’s Future’, the 7th edition of the highly anticipated runway show returned with lots of innovative African designs and techniques.

Nigerian Menswear Brand Freshbydotun Unveils Its 2017 Suit Collection Titled ‘Modern Groom’
Nigerian fashion brand FreshbyDotun who just recently released its traditional menswear collection, debuts its suit collection titled ‘Modern Groom’.
According to the designer Adedotun Adeyeye, “the collection is an inspiration for the modern groom and discerning dapper gentlemen. A bold expression of a man with style, who choose not to go with the conventional way.”
The brand’s design is an ideal fit with stunning details, vibrant neckties and lapel pins, with classic construction that helps you look your absolute best.
The collection consists of bright 3 piece suits using damask and tweed. The pieces are flawlessly tailored to outline with elegance, style and trim.

Creative director, women's clothing designer Yemisi Olaiya, says her brand is rooted in African culture and heritage and her goal is to create a strong but minimalist fashion aesthetic that adds value to the ideal woman. .
Inspired by the beauty of nature's flow and the energy it creates and the fusion of elements to create the balance of nature, the collection features dynamic patterns and delicate fabrics, such as silk organza, pancake, crepe de chine and diving jersey.
